Sidlesham School was built in 1877 and is situated in Highleigh, a
semi-rural area of the Manhood Peninsula, 5 miles south of
Chichester. There are currently 130 children in the school
between four and eleven years of age and the Keynor Playgroup
operates from the school community room.
It has excellent facilities with Interactive Whiteboards and a
network of computers in all classes. The classrooms are bright and
airy and the new, 2003, sports hall enables all sorts of healthy fun
and games.
The school has a very good site with two playgrounds and a large
playing field.
In 2009 the school's Year 6 Key Stage 2 Contextual Value Added (CVA) measure was 100.8, which put the school in the top 10% of schools in West Sussex.
